Beginning Kung Fu Training at a Young Age is Very Beneficial to a Child

It can truly give your child a head start in life. Students in our program are monitored through weekly charts that stress the most important activities for a child at this stage in life. It also helps the parents stay focused because we realize that life can get very busy and raising a child can be a bit difficult in this day and age, so we do our part in helping you to raise healthy, strong, and responsible children.
There are many ideas about how to teach children. Some schools take the roll of a cheerleader and some try to be overbearing. We are in the middle. We give praise when it is due but also correction when it is needed. The intensity of the praise or correction is directly related to the actions of the child/student. This is balance of yin and yang.

We have taught children for over 14 years and seen some changes in the way children behave. Children now are showing lack of respect to adults. They do not respect authority. They tend to tell the adults what they want and demand it until the adults give in. Understand that martial arts are rooted in respect and proper protocol. To not follow this tradition would "take the tooth out of the tiger's mouth" (and old saying that sees a tooth from a tiger as very valuable). Therefore we are not a Mickey Mouse type of school. We hold our students accountable for there actions or lack of. Of course the required responsibility is appropriate for the age but none the less they are held accountable. Real development is work, for the students and teachers alike. We are a quality school, but quality often times must be demanded from people not asked for. To get into Harvard University is no easy matter and only focused students make it in..but those who do have a bright future. To make such a comparison to our school is very appropriate. But what would you expect? Something that is easy to attain often will lack stability, longevity, and dependability.
